Chicago Beach Grommoff June '26

Event Details:

The Grommoff begins at 1:00 on Saturday June 27th. We’ll plan to hang out at the beach for as long as we see fit (for at least a few hours)! This event is BYOE (bring your own everything): drinks, snacks, sunscreen, towel, swimsuit, chair… whatever you need for your perfect beach day. There is a snack shack at the beach with some food if you’d like. **Note: date/time/location may be subject to change depending on weather conditions. Organizer will reach out with further details if needed.**

On the day of the event, be on the lookout for an update as to where we are located on the beach! We typically set up on the north side of the beach near the Ardmore Ave entrance as it is the most accessible for the larger people in our group (I understand this is not the typical "gay" side of the beach, but accessibility is important in a space for fat people). Dom/piggysmallz will arrive early to stake out a spot.

Transportation/Parking:

For those taking the CTA: Hollywood Beach can be reached via the #84 Peterson, #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan buses. It is also a quick walk from the newly renovated Bryn Mawr Red Line stop!

For those driving: available parking is street parking, though it is sparse. Be prepared to potentially walk several city blocks to get to the beach. It is recommended you arrive early if you are driving! There are also a few paid lots near-ish to the beach.

Consent:

At all Gromoffs, consent is strictly mandatory. People being in swimsuits at this Gromoff does NOT give anyone the right to touch someone else without consent. Please make sure you are asking others for consent. Let's keep this event fun, welcoming, and safe for everyone!
