Welcome to the page for first Grommoff of 2024! This will be a BOUGIE EDITION Grommoff where you should expect to spend at least $100 plus after taxes, and ADDITIONAL for any liquor you consume.

We've been offered a PRIVATE or SEMI-PRIVATE space in the restaurant with the full tableside Churrasco experience, access to the insanely opulent Market Table (salad bar), traditional Brazilian side dishes to accompany the Churrasco (the meat), a selection of desserts, AND fountain beverages/coffee/tea, for $99.95 ALL-IN (So, that means tax and gratuity are INCLUDED). Let's call that "OPTION 1."

We have a 2nd option for those who are 21 and over. This option includes everything I just mentioned but also includes BOTTLED sodas/water, lemonade, and TWO hours of hosted, Top-shelf Premium Bar including cocktails, imported and domestic beers, and upgraded wines: $179.25 per person, INCLUDES taxes and gratuity. Let’s call this one “OPTION 2.”

So far, ALMOST FORTY of you have indicated your desire to come, which is just amazing.

Given the high level of interest in the event which allowed me to secure these package options for us, I am asking you to affirm your RSVP with me by sending me a direct message here (or on Discord or wherever else you’re able to contact me) telling me 1) WHICH PACKAGE YOU ARE SELECTING and 2) CHECKING for my reply with payment instructions. Once these these items are complete, you may consider your RSVP to be complete, and all you’ll have to do on 1/20 is show up at the restaurant, fill up (and/or encourage someone next to you to fill up), and have a great time filled with fat fellowship!

Continuing our intentional focus on FOOD during the winter months (i.e. BULKING SEASON), we will gather outside the restaurant (or inside the lobby, space permitting) promptly at 4:15 for our 4:30 reservation. Bring your HUGE appetites for this one, get ready to chow down on some Brazilian Churrasco, and get out your fat wallet too because this one's not gonna be cheap! Might want to skip the alcohol at this one, which can get expensive and fill you up, and save your libations for after the Grommoff as many will likely gather someplace.

THIS RESERVATION NEEDS TO BE PRECISE, so marking yourself as attending won't be enough this time. Limited seating is available in our reservation, so please only reserve if you are certain that you will attend. If you do need to cancel, please do the courtesy of informing the organizer so that a space may be opened for another interested person.

Please note well the following rules for Grommoffs:

1. Respect others’ personal space

Gatherings can be exciting--and it can be easy to feel comfortable with people you’ve just met. But make sure you always ask before encroaching on someone’s personal space if you don’t know them and stop if someone asks you to stop. Don’t make assumptions and ask for consent and you’ll be fine.

2. No room for racism, misogyny, ableism, homophobia or transphobia

We hope this rule goes without saying, but there is absolutely no room for racist, misogynistic, homophobic or transphobic views at any Grokio Community Gathering. Period.

3. Respect the discretion of the group in public

Oftentimes, gatherings are held in public places (restaurants, parks, beaches, bowling alleys, etc.) and there will be other people nearby. Be aware that loud voices travel—if you’re talking about sensitive or potentially embarrassing topics, use your inside voice. Similarly, a public place is not appropriate for intimacy or sexualized touching. Even if the other person is comfortable with it, respect that you’re with a group in a public place and hold off until you have more privacy.

4. Illegal drug/alcohol use is not allowed

The use of drugs that are illegal in the local jurisdiction before or during a Grokio Community Gathering is strictly forbidden, as is the consumption of alcohol by those under the legal age in the local jurisdiction.

5. Guests from outside the community are only allowed with prior approval

We know that attending a GrommOff, Feabie Meet or Ferzu Event for the first time can be scary, but bringing along a friend from outside the community for support can make others feel uncomfortable and force them to edit themselves the way they do in the real world (the goal of our gatherings is to let everyone stop editing!) If you absolutely must bring a friend from outside the community and you are confident they will know how to behave appropriately, you must clear it with the organizer BEFORE the event. Any portion of a gathering occurring in a bar or pub is excepted from this rule.
