 ugust 29th with an au-gust toga party! Whether you have a full blown costu
 me or just a bed sheet\, come party like the ancient Greeks with all your 
 fellow chubs and chasers of DC and beyond. As always there will be food\, 
 drinks specials\, and a raffle (with an option this time to put your raffl
 e tickets towards specific prizes)\, as well as a coat check so you change
  into your best toga and party like Bacchus! Doors will open at 6PM as alw
 ays! Come get live it up bumping bellies to Richmond's own DJ Bear Bonez's
  beats as he helps us drink and be merry!\n\nWhat is Overhang? From the or
 ganizers:\n\n“Overhang is a belly focused social at Kiki Bar in Washington
  DC where we want people to celebrate and appreciate all the many wonderfu
 l bellies of the region. with rotating local DJs for big boy beats\, along
  with things like a raffle\, snacks and sharables\, eating and drinking co
 ntests\, and of course\, encouraging people to show off their bellies and 
 have fun! Come show everyone how bigger is better at Overhang from 6pm-10p

 future DC Grommoffs is done via this group\, so it is highly suggested to 
 join to make your voice heard regarding suggestions for events and when th
 ey happen! We are currently working to follow a rotating pattern of events
  between DC\, MD and VA\, so we are always looking for suggestions of plac
 es to go\, in addition to help share when Overhang and Underbelly are happ
 ening next!\n\n—\n\nEvent Costs:\n\nThere is no cost or ticket required\, 
 the only limitation will be space at Kiki itself. Raffle tickets are free 
 to those who attend\, (you can get bonus ones as well from showing off you
 r belly and taking part in the contests). The snacks are free as well\, bu
 t are first come\, first serve.  Kiki will run drink specials through the

 7\n\nIf arriving by public transit\, take the Green/Yellow Line to U Stree
 t station and from the east exit\, you are within a block of the bar. Addi
 tionally there are several bus lines that stop along Florida Ave and U Str
 eet that can get you there.\n\nIf you are driving\, street parking is gene
 rally limited in the immediate vicinity of the bar\, your best bet is to c
 heck the side streets. Pay attention to the signage to make sure it’s safe
  to park! Folks generally are able to find street parking near Howard Univ
 ersity Hospital\, but your mileage may vary.\n\n—\n\nWhen arriving for the
  event:\n\nDoors for the event open at 6PM and the event will run until 10
 PM\, afterwards Kiki may have other events going on that folks are welcome
  to stay for. It is highly suggested you get dinner prior\, as while there
  will be plenty of snacks and treats at the event itself\, there are no fu

 n1. Respect personal space of the group and others.\n\nAlways ask before e
 ncroaching on other's space\, especially with people new to you and the gr
 oup. If asked to stop or give space\, respect this. Failure to do so will 
 result in being asked to leave and potentially being barred from future ev
 ents.\n\n2. Absolutely no racism\, misogyny\, ableism\, homophobia\, trans
 phobia or other bigotry!\n\nThis shouldn't have to be said\, but bigotry w
 ill not be tolerated at any Grokio events.\n\n3. Respect the discretion of
  the group in public\n\nOftentimes\, gatherings are held in public places 
 (restaurants\, parks\, beaches\, bowling alleys\, etc.) and there will be 
 other people nearby. Be aware that loud voices travel—if you’re talking ab
 out sensitive or potentially embarrassing topics\, use your inside voice. 
 Similarly\, a public place is not appropriate for intimacy or sexualized t
 ouching. Even if the other person is comfortable with it\, respect that yo
 u’re with a group in a public place and hold off until you have more priva
 cy. Additionally\, be mindful when taking photos/video at the event and al
 low for members to bow out or turn their heads if they do not wish to be r
 ecorded/photographed.\n\n4. Illegal drug/alcohol use is not allowed\n\nThe
  use of drugs that are illegal in the local jurisdiction before or during 
 a Grokio Community Gathering is strictly forbidden\, as is the consumption
  of alcohol by those under the legal age in the local jurisdiction.\n\n5. 
 Guests from outside the community are only allowed with prior approval\n\n
 We know that attending a GrommOff\, Feabie Meet or Ferzu Event for the fir
 st time can be scary\, but bringing along a friend from outside the commun
 ity for support can make others feel uncomfortable and force them to edit 
 themselves the way they do in the real world (the goal of our gatherings i
 s to let everyone stop editing!) If you absolutely must bring a friend fro
 m outside the community and you are confident they will know how to behave
  appropriately\, you must clear it with the organizer BEFORE the event. An
