DESCRIPTION:This event includes a nightlife portion that is 21+. Everyone 1
 8+ is welcome through the day!\n\nJuly Belle Isle Beach day - Detroit’s ow
 n Central Park. Only requires a Michigan recreation pass or $13 to get in.
 \n\n1. BEACH -There's a lot to do on the island itself\, including a histo
 ric Aquarium\, conservatory\, and several beaches. (For whale watching of 
 course \;) It's like Detroit’s own Central Park\, with a fountain\, nature
  center\, lots of optional walking trails\, fishing\, and kayaking. Yard g
 ames - Bring any you like! We will have Ladder ball\, frisbee\, giant jeng
 a\, and more.\n\nWe will be grilling out hotdogs and some burgers. You are
  of course welcome to bring your own meat to grill as well! \n**Parking - 
 You can easily park on the island\, given you don't come too close to afte
 rnoon. Try to arrive around 11 or earlier for easy access. UPDATE: We’ll b
 e there around 10am to secure a spot and set up.\n**Bus - If you would pre

 f\n*If you drive onto the island\, you will either need a MI Recreation pa
 ss\, or just $13 to park on the island. \n\nAlcohol - If you'd like to dri
 nk\, it is recommended you bring a discreet cup or tumbler. Alcohol is\, b
 y law\, not permitted without a permit\, which requires an associated shel
 ter or building rented. They were all full every Saturday of July. Basical
 ly\, keep it to yaself.\n\n2. MUSEUM - Detroit Art Institute is currently 
 ranked #1 in the United States among art museums. We’ll take some time to 
 escape the sun\, soak in the air conditioning and peruse the world-renowne
 d art collection for the afternoon. There is also a couple food options th
 ere (Kresge Court and Cafe DIA) in case you get peckish before dinner. Adm
 ission is $18 adults\, $10 for seniors and college students!\n**Parking - 
 The Museum Parking Lot is $7\, located at 5217 Brush St\, Detroit\, MI 482

 Bus - There is also a bus that runs from Belle Isle right in front of the 
 museum. Take the 12 off Belle Isle\, then the 31\, then the QLINE to the m
 useum. Takes about 1hr.\n\n**DINNER - There are several restaurants near t
 he museum we can go. Best two options: 1) Ima Noodles Japanese OR 2) Shiel
 d’s Restaurant Bar Pizzeria \nVOTE BELOW! \n\n3. NIGHTLIFE - 21+ only\n- M
 enjo’s Entertainment Complex: Detroit Eagle - same place Madonna danced at
  16yo! (Highland Park)\n**Parking nearby is safe and lit\n**Buses also run
  frequently to this location. Takes 30mins from museum.\n\nLODGING:\nBest 
 options are going to be on Airbnb\, though there are some hotels under $20
