Spooky season is here and the smell of hot cider has filled the air, and so we bring you the 2025 Spooky Season GrommOff.

We begin the evening at The Juicy Seafood Restaurant & Bar- Beech Grove (5005 S Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46237) at 4:30pm. While this restaurant specializes in seafood boils, they do have fried fish and seafood, vegetarian, and non-shelfish options as well. They also have a bar for beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

The group will then travel to Hanna Haunted Acres. This was a lot of fun last year so we decided to go again. It features 6 different haunted attractions including The Haunted Hayride, a haunted corn maze, and 4 other haunted houses. Tickets (Standard Combo) are $39.95 per person plus a $3.95 fee (buy online, it's $6 more if you buy on-site). Your ticket is good for one trip through each haunted house for that evening. ~How do I let you know I’m coming?

If you are planning to attend one of our events please first mark yourself as “attending" by going to the event page of a GrommOff (like the ones listed above). Please let us know if you are attending so we can make dinner reservations. You are responsible for your tickets to the Haunted House.

~What can people expect from a GrommOff?

All of our events will have a list of activities which will include a link to a menu or the price of admission. ~Any advice for first-timers?

The first time is always the hardest! We keep these events easy going to allow us to make friends and socialize. This event is a safe place for you to meet new people offline in a public place.

~Do I need to attend the entire event?

You are welcome to join for the entire event or just for part of the event. We would be happy if you decided to come out and join us!

~ For larger members…

We hear you, yes there is walking and standing in this event. The hayride had the longest line last year (about 45 mins), you had to step up onto a flatbed trailer, then sit on the ground. Two members at 350 pounds had no issues last year, though someone larger may have problems. The lines for the other haunted houses are not that long (maybe 15 min wait times) and each haunted house is around 10 mins total. From Hanna Haunted Acres website “All walking attractions are Handicap accessible, but for safety reasons we do need everyone to sit down completely on the hayride and be able to get on and off the hayride wagon which involves at least three steps on your own power.” There are seating areas and picnic tables around the fire pits and around the park. While yes, part of the event has more mobility and lots of standing we take it slow and at our own pace with lots of breaks between each attraction.
